Had a good day walking in the Tabernas desert yesterday. Incredible scenery and its no wonder why Sergio Leone decided to bring his spaghetti westerns to be shot here.

Southern Spain in August, within sight of the African coastline, yet ……. “rather cold and windy for this time of year!”

We recently got caught out at Siete Lagunas in the Sierra Nevada when our tent was destroyed overnight by high wind gusts. Very strange conditions as the violent gusts were followed by total calm for a few minutes before starting up again.

So we have more tomatoes than we know what to do with. Weve eaten them with most meals for the last month, made gallons of Tomato Frito (Puree) and still have left overs. Those remaining are getting very soft and ripe. We need to do something quick!
