Catching the sunrise, Sierra de Lujar

At 5:30 this morning I dragged my weary ass out of bed, out into the morning cold and drove up precipitous mountain dirt tracks in the dark for over an hour. As I arrived on the summit the sun appeared over Almeria to the east and rays lit up the snowy mountain tops of the Sierra Nevada. All of a sudden all the effort was rewarded. I had arrived in heaven!
